How can I copy my Outlook, Eudora or Thunderbird address book to the web version of the CHCS mail system?
First, export your addresses to a CSV (comma-delimited) file. Most email programs can do this. For instance:
Outlook Express
- Go to the File menu and select Export | Address Book.
- In the box that appears, select "Text File (Comma Separated Values)".
- Click on Export.
- Save the file somewhere convenient, like your desktop.
- Now go to "Import," below.
Thunderbird
- Click on the Address Book to open it.
- Go to the Tools menu in the Address Book, and select Export.
- At the bottom of the box that appears, change Save As Type to "Comma Separated".
- Next to File Name, give the file a name, and save it somewhere convenient, like your desktop.
- Now go to "Import," below.
Apple Mail
- There is a free utility that will create a CSV file from your Address Book. Get it here.
- Save the file somewhere convenient, like your desktop.
- Now go to "Import," below.
Import
- Now log in to the web mail at http://mail.[YOUR DOMAIN NAME].com.
- Click on Contacts at the left of the screen.
- At the bottom of the screen, click on Import.
- Under "Please select a file to upload" click on Browse and select the CSV file you created above.
- Once the filename displays in the text field, click on Import.
