It is the policy of CHCS to collect and use client and visitor data only to the extent required to provide and maintain our services, and to communicate with current and potential clients as needed. CHCS does not share data with any third parties.

This policy has been revised as of the date shown above. From time to time, we may use customer information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our privacy notice. If our information practices change at some time in the future, we will post the policy changes to our Web site. If you are concerned about how your information is used, you should check back at our Web site periodically.

CHCS.COM AND RELATED SITES

When visiting any web site, or when sending or receiving any email message, data is transmitted through the Internet, a public system consisting of many thousands of nodes, or computers through which data may be transmitted. CHCS takes reasonable precautions to ensure that data from our clients and visitors is protected, but such protection cannot be guaranteed.

We log non-user-specific data about visits to CHCS.com and related web sites, in order to assist managing and troubleshooting our servers and networks.

We collect the e-mail addresses of those who communicate with us via e-mail and via our feedback forms. We also collect information volunteered by the consumer, such as survey information and/or site registrations. The information we collect is used, when requested by the consumer, to contact them for support and/or marketing purposes.

We may use cookies to record session information, such as items that consumers add to a shopping cart, and to record activity at a site in order to provide better service when visitors return to the site.

We do not partner with or have special relationships with any ad server companies.

We have appropriate security measures in place in our physical facilities to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information that we have collected from clients and site visitors.

FINANCIAL DATA

As a convenience, CHCS offers our clients the option of paying for our services by credit card. We take precautions to avoid compromising clients' financial data, and will notify you if we have reason to believe such data has been lost.

We follow the rules for managing and protecting client data set out by the various credit card companies.

HOSTING

The standard agreements between CHCS and our web and email hosting clients require adherence to the CHCS Acceptable Use Policy.

WEB SITES DESIGNED AND/OR HOSTED BY CHCS

We strongly encourage our clients to develop and post privacy policies for the web sites that we design and/or host. We are not responsible for the policies of any of our clients.

We log non-user-specific data about visits to web sites hosted by CHCS, in order to assist managing and troubleshooting our servers and networks.

If CHCS has been authorized by a client to have access to their site, we use this access only to maintain it when requested by the client. We do not use any information that the client may have collected.

If a CHCS client uses our content management system, data entered into that system is stored on CHCS servers in order to incorporate the data into the client's web site. This data is backed up in accordance with the CHCS Backup Policy, but is not accessed by CHCS unless requested by the client, as needed to manage, troubleshoot or maintain the client's site.

EMAIL ACCOUNTS HOSTED BY CHCS

For CHCS customers using the Imail system, incoming and outgoing email messages are stored on CHCS servers only as required to ensure successful delivery to the intended recipient(s). As discussed in the CHCS Backup Policy, we do not maintain server backups of emails sent to and from CHCS clients.

CHCS customers using Gmail are covered by their privacy policy (see Outside Services, below).

If requested by a client, we may access emails only as required to troubleshoot email delivery issues.

OUTSIDE SERVICES

Upon request, clients may choose have CHCS provide outside services that have their own privacy policies. These services may include:

Spam and virus filtering from Postini, which is subject to their privacy policy.
Web site visit statistics from Google Analytics, which is subject to their privacy policy.
Secure (SSL) certificates from Thawte, which is subject to their privacy policy.
Domain names from INWW/Melbourne IT, which is subject to their privacy policy.
Google Apps for Domains (Gmail), which is subject to their privacy policy.
